SET APPOINTMENT WITH Mr. Kiehl
Mr. Kiehl works especially well with veterans and individuals experiencing life transitions, while welcoming clients from all backgrounds seeking support, direction, or a fresh perspective. He strives to create a space that feels respectful, grounded, and approachable—where clients feel understood and supported as they move forward.
Mr. Kiehl brings a wide range of personal and professional experiences to his counseling work. He is a military combat veteran, has traveled extensively, worked offshore, and spent many years as a high school teacher and coach before transitioning fully into counseling. These varied life experiences allow him to relate easily to people from different backgrounds and walks of life, particularly those navigating pressure, responsibility, or major life changes.
In his practice, Mr. Kiehl takes a collaborative and practical approach to counseling. He is EMDR trained and works primarily from a Choice Theory perspective, emphasizing personal responsibility, strengths, and the belief that clients hold the power to make meaningful changes in their own lives. Rather than directing or prescribing solutions, he works alongside clients to help them gain clarity, build awareness, and move toward choices that align with their values and goals.
