Andrea also served as an intern at Serenity Light Recovery in Angleton, Texas, where she facilitated process groups for clients in Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP) addressing substance misuse. She assisted the Clinical Director with biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation, and supported wellness and recreation programs for inpatient clients.
With a special passion for empowering women and teen girls, Andrea is committed to supporting clients through self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and identity development. She believes that every person already carries the strengths they need within themselves, and her role is not to “fix” but to help clients recognize their inherent worth and capabilities, honoring each individual as an equal, no matter where they are on their healing journey.
Approaching her work with enthusiasm, empathy, and authenticity, Andrea is committed to helping individuals heal, grow, and reclaim hope through the transformative power of therapeutic connection.
Andrea Martin, LMSW, LCDC-I, brings a unique blend of educational experience, personal insight, and clinical training to her work as a social worker. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama and previously worked as a teacher, primarily in special education and dyslexia/504 support.
Andrea’s own journey through addiction recovery inspired her passion for mental health and ultimately led her to pursue licensure in chemical dependency counseling. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (Class of 2024) and is supervised by Haleigh Culverhouse, LCSW-S.
During her graduate studies, Andrea worked extensively with high school students, providing individualized support for those experiencing crises, including abuse, neglect, and family trauma. She facilitated groups and individual sessions focused on goal setting, confidence building, addiction recovery, and healthy habits/coping skills.

Ms. Martin works under the clinical supervision of Haleigh Culverhouse, LCSW-S. She sees clients in Lake Jackson and by virtual appointment. She is accepting new clients at this time.
