In 2013, Kandice and her friend Lindsey founded Pretty Girls with Cancer™, a nonprofit organization connecting cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers through therapeutic programs, sessions, services, and wellness activities to empower their mental health. Currently, the program continues to offer monthly mental health sessions and programs at the Texas Medical Center and Texas Children's Hospital. Additionally, she developed "Coinz 4 Kids With Cancer," which is currently active in local school districts, and the Mind, Body & Soul Therapeutic Retreat for cancer survivors and patients.
Kandice went on to serve as Director at a variety of senior living homes and acute care facilities, working with seniors dealing with physical health changes and isolation. Her approach involves supporting their emotional health and addressing depression and anxiety, helping them find meaning and connection.
Presently, Kandice is a dedicated advocate for mental health. She holds a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license and is currently working on her clinical license for LCSW certification. Kandice's professional mental health background includes working at Supported State Living (IDD), Evolve Texas (children and adolescents), Medical Behavioral Hospital of Clear Lake (adults and seniors), and Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire (adults, adolescents, and seniors).
As a therapist who has lost her brother, mother, grandmother, and friends to cancer, Kandice has a background in grief therapy. She was a caregiver and three-time cancer survivor which impact her journey as being a therapist. She specializes in trauma, working with cancer survivors, patients , caregivers, psychotherapy, and other mental health challenges and is passionate about working with individuals across a diverse range of ages and diagnoses. Kandice also has a passion for motivational speaking and resilience life coaching, focusing on empowering individuals across various life stages to overcome challenges and build resilience.
Kandice was born and raised in Houston, TX. By the time she attended college at Huston–Tillotson University in Austin, TX, she had already triumphed over cancer twice. During her college years, Kandice earned several prestigious awards and honors. She was selected as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the American Cancer Society Walk and recognized by The Austin Statesman newspaper as a "Mover and Shaker" for her impactful efforts in combating HIV/AIDS within the African-American community. Additionally, after graduating Kandice was selected by the US President for the HIV/AIDS task force at the White House in Washington, DC.
Kandice dedicated a decade to the cause of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, helping victims through social services, group counseling, and working with the District Attorney to assist families through the criminal justice system. Kandice's desire to live overseas then led her to Shanghai, China, where she was the first Director of the psychology department at Tianjabing International School.

Ms. Rose works under the clinical supervision of Demitrius Manley, LCSW- S and the administrative supervision of Dr. Dedra Frazier. She sees clients in both the Pearland & Lake Jackson offices and by virtual appointment. She is accepting new teen (13+) , adult and geriatric clients at this time.
